What’s new
Something works differently than yesterday, and you want to know what changed.
- For
- everyone who works in the portal and wants to know whether an observation from yesterday still holds.
- Prerequisite
- none.
- Where in the portal
- the version you work under is shown at the bottom, in the footer. It must match the top line of an entry for the points of that entry to apply to you.
On this page
What has changed with each release, newest first. Every entry carries the date, the versions the state runs under, and the points that are visible in the interface, ordered by area. What a single app changes is listed in its store entry under “New in this version”.
Not every change is listed here. Work under the surface, such as speed, technical tidying, or documentation, changes nothing about what you do and would only add noise as a line.

- In the scene editor, an app chooses its source in the field Source, with its interval, state, and Fetch now.

Locations
- A location has a venue type. Bookings are targeted by it, and analytics groups by it.
Apps
- New versions: Embed 2.0.1, Calendar 2.0.1, Menu board 2.0.1, Pharmacies on duty 2.1.0, RSS feed 2.0.1, Weather 1.4.1, YouTube 2.0.1. The store lists what is new for each app.
Devices and displays
- Screenshots are taken every five minutes and kept for 1, 7, 30, or 90 days, depending on the package.
- The online time of a display keeps counting across platform updates.
- Displays record every play individually and keep them for up to a week without a network.
- Long scenes and media count in five-minute sections and so show up early in analytics.
- A TV dimmed to at most five percent that has no brightness control of its own counts as not visible.
- After a power outage, a player counts again only once its clock has been set over the network.
- After a change to the program, the playlist continues where it was instead of starting over.
- The display software also starts on TVs with an older browser, for example with Tizen 5.5 or webOS 5.
- After the page loads, the location picker of a display shows the assigned location.
- A display that briefly dropped out under load is no longer throttled permanently.
Billing
- Participating locations see revenue and credit per month, allocated on the tenth of the following month.
- The credit comes as a document if you agreed to settlement by credit note.
- If you end participation, the months up to then are credited, as long as the consent for it stands.
- A note explains when the flat price of an ad campaign was already fully allocated for the month.
- In PDF invoices and credit notes, the header of the line item table sits fully above its line.
Account and permissions
- Anyone who holds "Run ad hoc queries" sees analytics for all displays, even with permissions for only some.
- Owners and Managers hold the new advertising and proofs permissions, network participation only Owners.
Platform
- Analytics is new: Overview, Displays, Content, Ad campaigns, Proofs, Devices, and Explore.
- The Overview sets the visible time against the planned time and shows where the rest of the time went.
- The day of a display shows plan, panel, capture, plays, and screenshots on one axis.
- In Explore, you ask your own questions as a sentence, save them as a view, and have them delivered.
- The existing saved reports are removed. Files already generated stay available until they expire.
- A gap in the current hour shows up in analytics before the hour ends.
- Minute counting is removed. Every play is measured individually and judged by a rule.
- The planned time follows the program that applied at the time. A later change does not alter past days.
- New Advertising area: ad campaigns, advertisers, creatives with approval, ad inventory, network participation.
- An ad break in the playlist reserves slots of equal spot length, the first ones optionally for the ad network.
- Own advertisers and ad campaigns start with the Premium package, network participation in every package.
- Advertising counts only what was planned: per booking, display, and hour at most the target plus two.
- Anything beyond that shows as "Not planned". A new booking counts from the next full hour.
- Every month of a booking ends with a signed proof: PDF, hourly log, manifest, and sample.
- A month is closed exactly once. Whatever arrives afterward follows as an addendum with its own number.
- The proof states that the audience details come from the location and are unverified.
- Advertisers open the campaign report and proofs through a time-limited, revocable link, without an account.
- Contact persons get the closing and addendum by email, with up to five attempts if one does not arrive.
- Samples of booked advertising are kept for 62 days, even if their display is removed.
- The airtime in the proof is the same as in analytics, and overlapping plays count once.
- Closings and addenda of your direct business reach your webhooks and appear in the change log.
- Contacts from self-reported data (grade C) are marked in the delivery. A proof never counts them.
- A gap never counts as zero. As long as a display can still report up to seven days late, a range is shown.
- If you change a running booking or a creative, the change applies to later plays.
- The home page shows availability, plays, and Most played for the last seven days.
- Only the person who created a view set to "only me" sees it, including its files and delivery.
- The delivery of an ad campaign names mixed commitments and the first counting day.
- The verification page accepts a proof number as it is typed or copied, for example "szn 2026 398".
- The app pages of the website show the English texts of Embed and RSS feed in US spelling.
- The English proof check page showed a placeholder in braces instead of a word.
- Notifications and log entries are no longer lost when the platform restarts.
- Anyone can verify a proof on the website without an account, by number and check code or by one of its files.
- A checked file does not leave the browser. The number alone opens nothing.
- If signature or content do not match the register, a proof is "not consistent in itself", never "genuine".
- On an error, the website shows the matching notice instead of a generic text.
- The terms of the Pharmacies on duty app say that address and radius are sent to aponet.de.
- The shop has an address of its own. The old links lead there.
- The form to register interest on the Player page is now in the shop.
- Booking is not retroactive: ad campaigns and bookings start today at the earliest, a draft may start earlier.
- A display whose display software does not know ad breaks yet shows the filler and does not count as a target.

(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)

(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)

(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)

(German only)
(German only)

- Neue Fassungen der Anzeige erreichen einen verbundenen Bildschirm binnen fünf Minuten statt erst beim nächsten regelmäßigen Abgleich. (German only)

(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)

(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
- Was nur mit SzeneraOS geht, begründet die Karte „Was dieses Display kann“ mit „Nur an einem Gerät mit SzeneraOS“. (German only)
- „Web-Display“ steht im Portal überall mit Bindestrich. (German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
(German only)
