On this page
The NDR app shows news from northern Germany, and if you like, the news of the state in which each display stands.
What the app shows
The NDR widget shows the newest stories with picture, section, kicker, headline, and teaser. The header carries the original NDR logo with the line News from the north, and the background the dark blue of the brand.
Templates, settings, and what happens without a network are the same for all news apps, see How the news apps work.
Sections
Under Section, choose News from the north, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Sport, Culture, or Advice. The default is News from the north.
News for each display's state
With By the display’s location, one scene shows the right news everywhere. Displays in Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania show the stories of their state, all others the chosen section. The app reads only the state of the display's location, and nothing of it goes to NDR. A display without a location shows the chosen section.
