On this page
The World Clock shows the time in several places side by side, for partner cities, suppliers, or international guests. It needs no data source.
What the app shows
The app comes with one widget: World Clock. It shows up to six places in calm rows instead of tiles: for each place, the name with a sun or moon in front of it, the time, and below it how many hours the place is ahead of the display’s location. Places where it is currently night appear quieter. “Here” appears only under the place that is in the same time zone as the display, and another place with the same offset says “same time”. If it is a different day there, the date is added. World Clock takes its time from our servers, not from the device.
Five templates place it at a suitable size:
| Template | Size | Shows |
|---|---|---|
| Row | 960 × 320 | the places side by side with time and difference |
| Grid | 960 × 540 | up to six places in two rows |
| Analog | 960 × 360 | a clock face for each place, name and difference below |
| Column | 340 × 700 | the places as rows, the time on the right |
| Bar | 1320 × 110 | the places in one line |
After that, World Clock arranges itself to fit its frame. In small frames, the difference drops out first, then the later places. Times are never cut off, and a long name ends with an ellipsis.
Settings
Open the settings with the gear icon on the toolbar above the widget. They are on the tabs Content, Appearance, and Data. The toolbar also offers Template and Colors, plus the Background.

Limits
- Day and night are calculated by World Clock from local time: day is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., not by sunrise and sunset.
- Offline: World Clock needs no connection and keeps running without a network.
- One clock: For a single time with a date, use Clock.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| “here” is missing. | No place is in the time zone of the display’s location, or the display has no location. | Add the display’s place to the list or give the display a location. |
| Not all places appear. | The frame is too small for all places at a legible size. | Drag the frame larger or remove places. Below the preview, the window says when places have no room. |
| The widget cannot be inserted. | The app is not installed, an update is waiting for your decision, or it shows Not in your package. | Check the status under Apps (When an app doesn’t work). |
