Menu board
Maintain food and drink menus in one place, up to date on every display.
From your organization the app reads: player-location, fleet-locations, your media library, team. The app calls no outside service.
The app shows content you create yourself. No data goes to third parties in the process. You make sure the content is lawful: rules on advertising medicinal products, prices including the total price, labeling of allergens and additives, rights to images and trademarks, and the target of a QR code. The display does not replace a legally required notice. We do not review your content, accept no liability for it and owe no legal advice. Read the full terms

- For
- anyone who maintains menus, designs scenes, or reports sold-out dishes at the counter
- Prerequisite
- the Pro package and the app installed. Owners and Managers create and change menus, and Members can also mark dishes as sold out.
- Where in the portal
- Apps › Menu board › Menus. The widget is in the scene editor under Business & industry.
On this page
The Menu board shows food, drinks, and prices on your displays. You maintain your menus in one place, each board shows one of them, and changes appear on every display within seconds.
Maintain menus
In the Menus tab, your menus are on the left, and New menu creates one. A menu is divided into categories such as breakfast, lunch, or drinks, and each category carries its dishes. On the right, the preview shows the board at 1920 × 1080 and updates as you type. The page saves every change by itself. At the top, it says Saving… and then Saved.
Each dish has:
- A Name and a Description line.
- Price and Quantity, plus up to four further sizes with their own price, such as 0.3 l and 0.5 l.
- Allergens as the 14 main allergens, and Additives. They appear on the board as codes, and the key follows by itself.
- Labels such as vegan, vegetarian, spicy, and new.
- An Image from the library, Deposit, and Unit price.
- Also show on the board makes a dish a recommendation. Dish of the day, Recommendation, and Bar show recommendations.
If a dish lacks allergens or a drink lacks a quantity, the check below the preview names the dish. A click on it takes you to the dish.
A category can have a Time window if you like, such as breakfast until 11:30. Boards with Show categories only at their time then show it only in this window and fade smoothly at the change. List as drinks makes the quantity mandatory.
Menu details
Under Menu details, you set where and when a menu applies:
- Applies to all locations or only selected ones. A display at another location then shows a notice instead of the menu. A display without a location shows it like the preview.
- Valid from and Valid until limit the menu to a period, such as a summer menu.
- Prices per location set deviating prices for individual locations, and empty means the price of the menu applies.
Weekly menu
The Weekly menu assigns dishes of the menu to each day from Monday to Sunday. The first dish without the vegan or vegetarian label is the dish of the day, and the first one with the label is the vegetarian dish. Saturday and Sunday appear only if dishes are assigned to them. Served from and until name the lunch hours. To create dishes that should appear only in the weekly menu, use a category with Show only in the weekly menu.
Plan changes and undo them
Plan a change for a set date collects changes that apply only from a certain day, such as new prices from the first of the month. Until then, the displays show the current menu. On the set date, only what you changed in the plan is added: Whatever you maintain on the menu in the meantime, such as a new dish, is kept. If the plan and later maintenance change the same price, the planned one applies from the set date. The History lists every change with time and person, and Undo restores the state before it.
Import from CSV or Excel
More actions › Import from CSV or Excel reads a file with a header row and one row per dish. The page suggests a mapping of the columns, which you can change under Map columns. The preview names every row that does not fit, with the reason. Category, name, description, price, quantity, allergens, additives, and labels are recognized, and allergens can be codes or words. Import dishes adds the valid rows to the categories of the same name, and new categories go to the end.
A menu can be copied with More actions › Duplicate menu, for example for a second branch with its own selection.
Mark dishes as sold out
On a phone, the same tab opens quick maintenance: the menu on top, and below it every dish with the Sold out today switch. One tap is enough, and the displays strike the dish through or hide it, depending on the board’s setting. At 5 a.m. local time, everything is available again.
If the menu applies at several locations, quick maintenance asks once where you are reporting: at one location or at All locations. The phone remembers the choice, and Switch location changes it. A report for one location appears only on its displays, and one for all locations appears everywhere. To the right of the menu, the maintenance page lists every report with its location under Sold out today. For quick maintenance, the permission to change availability is enough, and prices and dishes stay untouched.
The widget
In the scene editor, you choose the menu in the Menu field, and everything else follows the template and the frame. Eight templates insert the widget at a fitting size:
| Template | Size | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Board | 1920 × 1080 | The whole menu in columns, allergens as codes with a complete key. |
| Portrait board | 608 × 1080 | The categories one below the other. What does not fit on one page turns over. |
| Dish of the day | 640 × 400 | One recommended dish large, with image, price, and labels. |
| Price list | 600 × 720 | Name and price, categories as headings, further sizes as columns. |
| Recommendation | 360 × 360 | One recommended dish as a tile. |
| Bar | 1600 × 140 | The day’s offers one after another in a single line. |
| Weekly menu | 1920 × 1080 | Monday to Friday, today highlighted, past days quieter. |
| Today | 608 × 1080 | The dish of the day and the vegetarian dish, tomorrow below. |
The type grows with the frame. When space runs short, the board turns pages instead of getting smaller, and it names the page. Making the frame wider never removes anything.

Limits
- At most 30 categories per menu and 80 dishes per category.
- One widget shows one menu. For two menus side by side, place two widgets.
- Offline: A display without a network keeps showing the menu in its latest state. Images of the dishes appear only if the display has already loaded them. Sold-out reports and new prices reach it as soon as it is connected again.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| The widget asks for a menu. | No menu is chosen in the Menu field yet. | Choose a menu or create one in the Menus tab. |
| The widget reports that the menu no longer exists. | The chosen menu was deleted. | Choose another menu. |
| The display shows a notice instead of the menu. | The menu is not valid yet, has expired, or applies to another location. | Under Menu details, check the period and Applies to. |
| A category is missing on the board. | It has a time window and the board shows categories only at their time, or it is deselected under Categories. | Check the time window or the selection of the board. |
| Dish of the day or Bar stay empty. | No dish is marked as a recommendation. | Set Also show on the board on a dish. |
| A dish has been missing since the morning. | It is reported as sold out, and the board hides sold-out dishes. | Release the switch in quick maintenance, otherwise it comes back by itself at 5 a.m. |
| The widget cannot be inserted. | The app is not installed, an update is waiting for your decision, or it shows Not in your package. | Check the status under Apps (When an app doesn’t work). |
