With displays at several locations, you want to change a campaign once for all of them, and still let each location show its own opening hours, weather, or offers. Szenera does this with shared playlists, a program per kind of location, and apps that read the location of each display.

What you need

What Recommendation
Locations One location per branch, with its address
Displays Each display assigned to its location, with a name that says where it hangs
Package Pro, for Opening hours, Menu board, and tailored permissions
Apps Weather, Opening hours, and Menu board read the location of each display.

How to set it up

  1. Create your locations with their addresses, and assign each display, see Create locations and assign displays to them. For a large rollout, see Connect many displays at once.
  2. Build central content once, such as a brand campaign, and put it in a shared playlist.
  3. Create one program per kind of location, such as "Branch" and "Flagship store". Each one uses the shared playlist as its base program and adds its own program entries.
  4. Use apps that adapt by themselves. One scene with Weather set to Display location shows each branch its own weather, and Opening hours shows each branch its own times.
  5. Give local staff the right access, for example to only their location's program, see Create custom roles and grant direct permissions.

Tips from practice

  • Change once, update everywhere. A change to the shared playlist reaches every program that uses it.
  • Use tags. Tags such as "North" or "Shop window" let you find and filter displays quickly in the fleet, see Name and organize displays.
  • Programs switch in one time zone. All programs use the organization's time zone. For locations in another time zone, plan the times accordingly.
  • Menus per location. A menu in the Menu board can apply to selected locations and carry different prices per location.
