# Connect many displays at once

For a rollout to many locations, create all displays in one step. You get a file with one connect address per display and hand it to the devices, instead of typing a code at each one.

> **Type:** guide
> **For:** anyone who sets up more than a handful of displays at the same time
> **Prerequisite:** the Owner or Manager role, web displays enabled for your contract, and as many free seats as displays you plan
> **Where in the portal:** **Displays** › **Pair display** › **Several displays at once (rollout)**

## Steps

1. Open **Displays**, click **Pair display**, and expand **Several displays at once (rollout)**.
2. Under **How many displays**, enter a number from 1 to 50. Under **Shared name prefix**, enter a name such as "North branch". The displays are numbered: North branch 1, North branch 2, and so on.
3. Click **Create and download file**. The displays appear right away as **Not connected**, and the file is saved to your downloads folder.
4. Give each device its connect address from the file. Each address works once and within 24 hours.

## Which devices can use the file

| Device | How |
|---|---|
| Computers in kiosk mode and Chromebooks | Set the connect address as the start page in your device management. |
| Samsung and LG professional displays | Type each connect address into the display's URL Launcher or Web Launcher, see [Platforms: which devices run Szenera](/devices/platforms). |
| Fire TV, Android, and Signage Stick | Our app will read the file from a USB stick. It isn't available yet. |

> **Caution:** The file is an access credential. Anyone who finds it can take over these displays until the addresses are used or expired. Don't leave it lying around, and delete it from the USB stick when the rollout is done.

## All or nothing

If your free seats don't cover the whole batch, no display is created. A rollout that stops halfway would leave you with half-connected displays and occupied seats. The message shows how many seats are booked and in use, and leads you to booking more.

## Check the result

Each display changes from **Not connected** to **Online** as soon as its device has opened the address.

## If something goes wrong

| Symptom | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| “Every booked display is paired.” | There aren't enough free seats for the whole batch. | Book more seats or lower the number. |
| **Create and download file** stays gray | The number is outside 1 to 50. | Create several batches of up to 50. |
| A device shows a pairing code | Its address was already used, or the 24 hours are over. | Open the display's **Settings** and click **Create a new address**. |
