# DER SPIEGEL

The DER SPIEGEL app shows the headlines of DER SPIEGEL, short and large, in the style of the information displays at train stations and airports. You don't set up an address or a source.

> **Type:** app
> **For:** anyone who wants the news in a scene
> **Prerequisite:** the Pro package, and the app installed
> **Where in the portal:** **Apps** › **Discover apps** › **DER SPIEGEL**. The widget is in the scene editor under **News & info**.

## What the app shows

The **DER SPIEGEL** widget shows the newest headlines large, with section and kicker above. It shows no teaser and no picture. The header carries the original DER SPIEGEL logo, and the background is almost black with orange-red accents.

Templates, settings, and what happens without a network are the same for all news apps, see [How the news apps work](/apps/about-news-apps).

## Sections

Under **Section**, choose **Headlines**, **Politics**, **International**, **Business**, **Health**, or **Sport**. The default is **Headlines**.

> **Tip:** At a reception, **Portrait** with **Business** fits well. In a gym, the **Band** with **Sport** runs along the bottom of a scene.

## Good to know

- Only headlines appear, without teaser or picture. The templates therefore start with **Headline** instead of **Picture and headline**.
