# Deutschlandfunk

The Deutschlandfunk app shows the station's factual news roundup, with picture and headline, in the style of the information displays at train stations and airports.

> **Type:** app
> **For:** anyone who wants the news in a scene
> **Prerequisite:** the Pro package, and the app installed
> **Where in the portal:** **Apps** › **Discover apps** › **Deutschlandfunk**. The widget is in the scene editor under **News & info**.

## What the app shows

The **Deutschlandfunk** widget shows the current news with picture, kicker, headline, and teaser. The header carries the original Deutschlandfunk logo, and the background is a calm black with warm yellow accents.

Templates, settings, and what happens without a network are the same for all news apps, see [How the news apps work](/apps/about-news-apps).

## Sections

Deutschlandfunk offers one section, **News**, so there is nothing to choose.

> **Tip:** At a reception, **Split** shows the current story and the next one. In a waiting room, the **Band** runs along the bottom of a scene.

## Good to know

- Deutschlandfunk stamps every story with the same time. The story age therefore counts from the moment we first read the story.
- The pictures carry the credit **Photo: Deutschlandfunk**, because the feed names no photographer.
- Self-promotion and the weather are left out.
