# Analytics

What was actually visible on your displays: every play measured on the display, judged by a rule, set against the planned time, closed for ad campaigns, and documented as a signed proof.

> **Type:** area
> **For:** everyone who wants to know or prove what ran
> **Where in the portal:** **Analytics** — the tabs **Did everything run?**, **What ran?**, and **Your questions**

## The questions of analytics

The tabs are named after the question you ask in the shop. **Did everything run?** checks displays and planned time, **What ran?** shows own content, ad campaigns, and proofs, and **Your questions** takes your own question. The machine values of your devices are no longer in analytics but on the Devices page in the **Device health** tab: [Check the health of your devices](/devices/device-metrics).

## Understand

Before you trust a number, you should know where it comes from and where the measurement ends.

| Page | When you need it |
|---|---|
| [What does analytics measure, and what does it not?](/analytics/about-measurement) | Play, valid play, contact, and impact, the validity rule, measured, derived, and estimated, the planned time, and the limits of the measurement. |
| [Why is a gap not a zero?](/analytics/about-gaps) | A planned hour without a report, open gaps with their deadline, late reports, closing and addendum. |
| [Read analytics: tabs, time ranges, and terms](/analytics/read-analytics) | The tabs and their views, the period, what each package commits to, and every term of the cards and the analysis. |

## Analyze

Five ways of looking at the same measurement: by display, by content, by ad campaign, as your own question, and by machine.

| Page | When you need it |
|---|---|
| [Check a display’s day](/analytics/check-display-history) | Plan, panel, capture, what was shown, plays, and screenshots of one day on one axis, down to the single play. |
| [Analyze content: when, where, and on which days](/analytics/analyze-content) | When a scene, a playlist, or a media item ran, on which displays, and on which days. |
| [Analyze ad campaigns](/analytics/analyze-ad-campaigns) | Fulfillment, pacing, and forecast of an ad campaign, where and when it delivered, and what did not count. |
| [Run your own analysis](/analytics/run-analysis) | Build a question as a sentence, read the result, save it as a view, share it, export it, and have it delivered regularly. |

## Prove

A proof is a document that a third party can verify without your involvement.

| Page | When you need it |
|---|---|
| [Proofs and links for advertisers](/analytics/manage-proofs) | The directory of closings, addenda, and interim statements, their files, delivery by email, and time-limited links for advertisers. |
| [Check a proof](/analytics/check-proof) | On the public verification page with number and check code or with the file, and by hand with the manifest and public key. |
